Celebrating British Food Fortnight: Journey through tradition and innovation

What’s it all about?

As Autumn approaches and the leaves begin to fall, it’s time to celebrate one of the most delicious events on the culinary calendar, British Food Fortnight. The annual celebration runs from the 20th of September through to 6th October.

Led by the organisation Love British Food, over the fortnight it offers us a fantastic opportunity to explore, taste, and appreciate the diverse dishes synonymous with our nation. From food enthusiasts, home cooks to farmers and artisans it is a great way for us to come together and celebrate.

You will see a variety of activities and promotions taking place with the initiative encouraging communities, schools and businesses to join and explore British culinary heritage. Keep an eye out for activities near you each year you can take part by attending food festivals, cooking classes, tastings and even tucking into a hamper with friends!

Seek out locally produced food. It is traceable and you will be doing your bit to help the environment
